Teresa is a PhD Candidate in Communication and Science Studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she was a Herbert I. Schiller Communication Dissertation fellow. she is currently a teaching fellow at Miramar College in San Diego through the SDICCCA Regional Fellowship.
she teaches classes on education and citizenship, art and community-building, the political economy of media and communication, and place-based storytelling. her teaching practice is grounded in her involvement in community organizations fighting for genuine human rights in the Philippines.
Teresa graduated with a BA in Theater and in the Science in Society Program (University Honors) From Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut as a Freeman Asian Scholar from the Philippines.
